The name adidas stands for sports tradition in fashion. The roots of the company from Herzogenaurach, which still has its headquarters there today, can be found as early as the 1920s. Shortly after the war, the brothers, who had been acting together until then, got into a dispute that ultimately led to the division of the company. While Adolf Dassler, known as "Adi", led his label adidas on the road to success, his brother Rudolf founded the rival brand Puma, which is still strong today.

The NMD CS1 is completely in the tradition of adidas. The line features a rather unconventional silhouette that nevertheless retains the label's signature with the three distinctive stripes. The stripes do not run along the side of the instep, as they do on other sneaker models, but are discreetly found in the heel area, where they adorn a comfortable strap for easy donning. The high recognition value is thus retained in an innovative way in the adidas NMD CS1 models.

Since its launch in 2015, the line has been expanded with numerous adidas NMD releases. Incidentally, the model name "NMD" is not simply an accumulation of letters, but the short version of the word "nomad". adidas is thus deliberately targeting everyone who prefers to be on the go instead of a couch potato. Unlike classic sneaker lines from adidas, the NMD models are made for sporty, comfortable everyday wear.

The design comes from Nic Galway, who was inspired to create the adidas NMD from three other successful models. The Rising Star, the Boston Super as well as the Micropacer were the inspiration for the model, which inspires with its Boost Midsole technology as well as with the sock-like fitting for high comfort of use. Another plus is offered by the creative mesh-up material, which optimally complements the active lifestyle with a high level of wearing comfort. Thus, the adidas NMD with models such as R1, C1 and of course CS1 quickly became the talk of the town and awakens the joy of great sneakers among fashion victims as well as sneakerheads with a big collector's heart.

adidas Consortium releases another collaboration with The Good Will Out. This time it's the NMD CS1, which comes in a deep black hue and is decorated with three different patterns on the Primeknit upper. The ninja-inspired design rests on a full-length black Boost midsole and a rugged trail outsole that is suitable for a variety of surfaces. A special detail is the Japanese lettering "The Art of Seeing Through Darkness" and a reference to "The Good Will Out" on the heel cap. The sneakers were released on 23 September 2017 at selected adidas Consortium retailers.
